The Government Art Collection X-UK Project

CVAN London is partnering with the Government Art Collection. The X-UK project initially ran as a successful pilot scheme in 2020-21 and works from 4 London contemporary visual artists were acquired for the collection.

The Government Art Collection is working with CVAN, the Scottish Contemporary Art Network, and networks in Wales and Northern Ireland to identify the next generation of potential artistic stars. More than 90 pieces by 45 contemporary visual artists were acquired for the collection in the pilot scheme. These works are now on display in government buildings around the country and internationally in British embassies and residences.

The CVAN London selection committee comprised of Sepake Angiama, Artistic Director, iniva, Sam Wilkinson, Public Art Manager, UCL and Amanda Parker, CEO, Inc Arts. From a long list of artists proposed by CVAN London members, the following artists were nominated for acquisition xxxxx   These works are now on display in government buildings around the country and internationally in British embassies and residences.

The partnership with the GAC will continue until 2027.
