Museum & Gallery Exhibition Tax Relief

\ Sustainability

Maxim Vashkevich, BSc Information Management for Business student at the UCL School of Management, has investigated the impact of Museum & Gallery Exhibition Tax Relief (MGETR). Under the supervision of Peter Antonioni, UCL School of Management, Maxim has explored the impact of the tax relief and the value generated by the Visual Arts sector. The report captures the complexity of the visual arts sector and provides valuable insights and recommendations.

We value the contribution of Maxim’s paper to the ongoing work calling for the permanent removal of the sunset clause; to make adjustments to address barriers for not-for-profit organisations, and to expand the eligibility criteria to align it with contemporary exhibition, commission and curatorial practice.

Our thanks go to Maxim, Peter and UCL for their partnership and collaboration.
